22. Railway undertakings requiring safety permit

(1)A person may not undertake any railway operation or a component of a railway operation without being in possession of an applicable safety permit.

(2)The following categories of persons may apply for a safety permit:
(a)A network operator;
(b)a train operator;
(c)a station operator; and
(d)any other categories of persons designated as requiring a safety permit by the Minister by notice in the Gazette.
