I, Professor Kader Asmal, MP, Minister of Education, in accordance with section 27 of the National Student Financial Aid Scheme Act, 1999 (Act No. 56 of 1999), hereby make regulations on income contingent loan repayment as required by section 23(2) of the Act.The deductions by employers from the remuneration payable to National Student Financial Aid Scheme debtors begin at 3% of salary at R26 300,00 rising linearly to 8% of salary at R593 000,00 according to the scales contained in the schedule hereto.
