97. Pensioner becoming permanent inmate of State institution

When any person who is entitled to a pension under this Act has become a permanent inmate of any institution the cost of maintenance of which is paid in full or in part from State funds, the commissioner may discontinue payment of such pension or retain so much thereof as is not required to pay the cost of maintenance of the person concerned or of any person or persons for whose maintenance that person is responsible.
