2.1 | Every owner of a controlled mine or a controlled works shall employ in full-time or part-time capacity so many medical practitioners as the director may in writing direct, to examine medically in accordance with any applicable provision of these regulations, all Black persons employed at his mine or works or whom he intends to employ for work at his mine or works. |
2.2 | When an owner of a controlled mine or controlled works has engaged in his service a medical practitioner in accordance with the provisions of regulation 2.1, he shall forthwith in writing inform the director of the name of that medical practitioner and indicate whether he has been engaged in a fulltime or part-time capacity and whether for a fixed period or indefinitely or for a particular occasion. |
2.3 | The Minister may at any time, after consultation with the director and the medical adviser (if any) by notice in writing direct the owner of a controlled mine or a controlled works to discontinue the employment of any medical practitioner for the performance of any function required to be performed under these regulations. |
