24. Offences and penalties

(1) A duty holder who contravenes any of the provisions of these Regulations commits an offence and is, on conviction, liable to a fine not exceeding R5 000 000 or to imprisonment for a period not exceeding 24 months.

 

(2) The maximum permissible fines that may be imposed for contravening the Regulations are set out in the table below:
