13. Registration

(1)No person shall be entitled to provide the services which form part of the services specially pertaining to the scope of practice of a pharmacist or assist therewith, unless he or she is duly registered in one of the categories prescribed in terms of this Act.

 

(2)No person shall practise as a specialist pharmacist or shall conduct himself or herself as such a specialist, or shall in any other manner profess to be a person in respect of whom any such speciality has been registered, unless the speciality in question has been registered in terms of this Act in respect of such person.

 

(3)Every person who has been suspended from practising in terms of this Act or whose name has been removed from a register, shall be disqualified from providing any of the services or performing any act specially pertaining to the scope of practice of pharmacy as determined in the practice rules made by the council, and his or her registration certificate shall be deemed to be withdrawn until the period of suspension has expired or until his or her name has been restored to the register by the council.

 

(4)Any person who has been suspended from practising in terms of this Act or whose name has been removed from a register in terms of subsection 45 (1) (c) and whose name has not been restored to such register shall not be entitled to remain, or be registered as the owner of a pharmacy, or hold any beneficial interest in a pharmacy.
