In terms of regulation 8(1)(b) of the Regulations relating to the Ownership and Licensing of Pharmacies made in terms of the Pharmacy Act, 1974, an application for a licence for the premises wherein or from where the business of a pharmacy is to be carried on must be accompanied by an application fee as determined by the Director-General of Health.

 

The Director-General has determined the fee in the Schedule and the fee is hereby published for general information. The fee includes Value Added Tax (VAT).

 

SCHEDULE

 

 

(1)The following application fees shall be payable to the Council:
(a)A fee to accompany the application form: R1000-00;
(b)Notification to the Department of Health in the event of change of the responsible pharmacist will be subject of an application fee to recover administrative and recording costs: R200-00.
