Chapter IV : Registration of Tutors and Approval of Premises for purpose of Education and Training

35. Approval of a tutor

(1) A pharmacist who wishes to be registered as a tutor must submit to the registrar—
(a)a duly completed application for registration as a tutor of persons undergoing an internship, traineeship or in-service training, on a form obtainable from the Council;
(b)in the case of a pharmacist who wishes to act as a tutor of a  pharmacist intern, proof that he or she has been registered as a pharmacist for a period of at least three years, which period may include the performance of pharmaceutical community service; and

 

(2)A pharmacist contemplated in subregulation (1) must:
(a)comply with the Regulations relating to continuing professional development;
(b)comply with any other conditions as determined  by the Council from time to time; and
(c)pay the necessary application fee as may be determined by the Council in terms of the Act.
