means the Chief Surveyor-General appointed in terms of section 2 of the Land Survey Act, 1997 (Act No. 8 of 1997);
means an institute referred to in section 3(2)(a), (b), (c), (d), (e), (i) and (i)A of the Act;
has the meaning assigned thereto in the Land Survey Act, 1997(Act No. 8 of 1997) and in respect of any kind of work reserved under section 7(2) of the Act shall further mean, the personal presence of the professional land surveyor, professional surveyor or surveyor when objects to be surveyed are inspected by him/her and pointed out to the survey technician or survey technician in training and sufficient reconnaissance by him/her to ensure that the required standard of accuracy for the survey is obtained.
means the president of the South African Council for Professional and Technical Surveyors or the person who is acting in his/her stead in terms of section 6(3) or (4) of the Act;
means the Professional and Technical Surveyors' Act, 1984 (Act No. 40 of 1984);
means the Sectional Titles Act, 1986 (Act No. 95 of 1986);
means the Land Survey Act, 1997 (Act No. 8 of 1997);
and any other word or expression to which a meaning has been assigned in the Act shall, when used in these rules, have the meaning thus assigned thereto.
