10. Notification of Appeal Determination

(1)Where the Refugee Appeals Authority of South Africa decides to conduct a hearing or make a determination on paper, it will serve written notice on the Appellant at least 30 days prior to the scheduled hearing. Such notice shall contain the date, time and venue fixed for the hearing as prescribed in Form RAA(03) attached to the Rules.

(2)The Appellant shall acknowledge receipt of the notice of hearing by signing it and affixing his or her left thumb print thereon.

 

(3)The parties may, by agreement, waive the time periods contemplated in sub-rule 10(1).
