15. Application of Act in self-governing territories

(1)The State President may, at the request of the Minister after consultation with the government of the self-governing territory in question, by proclamation in the Gazette declare this Act to be in force in that self-governing territory.

 

(2)After such a proclamation has been issued this Act shall, notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in the Self-governing Territories Constitution Act, 1971 (Act No. 21 of 1971), or any other law, apply in the self-governing territory in question as if the legislation assembly and the executive government of that self-governing territory do not have legislative and executive powers in respect of matters dealt with in this Act or any regulation made thereunder.
