19. Delegation of functions

(1)The Board may—
(a)delegate to the chairperson,  any member or committee of the Board or the chief executive officer  any functions entrusted to the Board by or under this Act, on such conditions as the Board may determine.

(2)The chief executive officer may—
(a)delegate to an employee of the CSIR any function entrusted to the chief executive officer by or under this Act.

(3)Any delegation, under subsection (1) or (2) must be in writing and does not prohibit the performance of the function in question by the Board or the chief executive officer, as the case may be.
