14. Written statement of defence

(1)A statement in terms of section 29(3) of the Act shall be signed by the defendant.

 

(2)For the purposes of this rule "defendant" includes any person upon whom a summons has been served and who alleges that he is not the defendant cited in the summons and enters appearance to defend on that ground.

 

(3)A claim in reconvention shall be made by stating in the written statement of defence such particulars of the claim in reconvention as are required in terms of rule 10 in respect of a claim.
