46. Inspection of a ship for Maritime Labour Certificate

(1) Subject to subregulation (2), the following charges are payable for the survey of a ship for a Maritime Labour Certificate and the charges in the table below cover:
(a) two visits to the ship;
(b) the inspection of all relevant parts of the ship;
(c) The review of the documentation and procedures submitted by the owner, Declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance Part II; and
(d) the issue of the Maritime Labour Certificate:

(2) If visits or further documentary reviews in addition to those referred to in subregulation (1) are required to complete the inspection, an additional charge of R 1 425 per hour or part thereof, and travel and subsistence expenses are payable for each such visit.

 

(3) A charge of R 2 702 is payable for the review of the application and documentation for the issue of a declaration of Maritime Labour Compliance-Part 1 certificate.
