It is hereby notified that the President has assented to the following Act, which is hereby published for general information:—

 

Act No. 06 of 2024: The Economic Regulation of Transport Act, 2024

Commencement of Certain Parts of The Economic Regulation of Transport Act, 2024 (Act No. 6 of 2024) as per GG51623, Proclamation Notice 224, dated 19 November 2024

 

(a) 01 April 2025 as the date on which Chapter 1, Part A of Chapter 4, Part C of Chapter 4 except application to the Council, section 71 and item 2 of Schedule 2 shall come into operation with the exclusion of section 4(1), Chapter 2, Chapter 3, Chapter 5, section 70, Schedule 1, item 1, item 3, item 4, item 5, item 6 and item 7 of Schedule 2.

 

(b) 01 April 2026 as the date on which Part B of Chapter 4, Part C of Chapter 4 in respect to the Council and item 7 of Schedule 2 shall come into operation.
