(1) | Despite any law to the contrary, a person who is authorised by the Council, in writing, to investigate any matter relating to the teaching or training of any person or class of persons undergoing such teaching or training for the purpose of qualifying themselves for practising the profession to which this Act applies, may, in the manner contemplated in section 32(1) for the purpose of making such investigation, enter any institution or premises utilised in the teaching or training of any such person or class of persons. |
(2) | A person who prevents a person authorised in terms of subsection (1) from entering any institution or premises contemplated in that subsection, or who hinders that person from pursuing his or her investigation, is guilty of an offence and liable on conviction to a fine or to a period of imprisonment or to both a fine and a period of imprisonment. |
