27. Alteration of registration

(1)Any person who is registered or deemed to be registered in terms of this Act to practise a particular veterinary profession or para-veterinary profession, or a veterinary specialist so registered with a particular speciality, may apply to the council in the prescribed manner for the alteration of the said veterinary profession or para-veterinary profession or speciality, as the case may be.

 

(2)

(a)Any such application shall be accompanied by the prescribed application fee concerned for the kind of alteration desired, as well as by such documents as may be prescribed.
(b)A veterinarian whose registration as such is maintained in terms of section 25(7), shall be exempt from payment of the prescribed application fee concerned if an application for the alteration of his or her registration as such to that of veterinary specialist is submitted to the council within six months of the date of commencement of this section.

 

(3)The provisions of section 25(1)(b), (2), (3) and (4) apply mutatis mutandis in respect of an application referred to in subsection (1) of this section.
