9. Standards for evaporated milk

(1) Evaporated milk shall be manufactured by partial removal of water from milk by heat, or by any other process, which leads to a product of the same composition and characteristics.

 

(2) The protein content of the milk, reconstituted milk or recombined milk used, may have been added adjusted or standardised by the addition of dairy permeate, dairy retentate and/or lactose.
