23. Determination of bleached peas

The amount of bleached peas in a consignment shall be determined as follows:

(a)Obtain a working sample of 200 g of screened pulses.
(b)Remove all suspected bleached kernels by hand.
(c)Remove the seed coat from suspected kernels to determine the size of the bleached area on the cotyledons and determine the amount thereof.
(d)Such amount represents the amount of bleached pulses in the consignment.
