13. Amendments and Duration of the Financial Sector Code

13.1The Financial Sector Code shall be effective and legally binding from the commencement date until amended, substituted or repealed under the Act.  The commencement date shall be 1 January 2012.

 

13.2The process for the amendment of the Financial Sector Code will follow the process set out in the Generic Codes for the development of Sector Codes. Any amendments to the Generic Codes may result in a review of the Financial Sector Code for purposes of harmonisation.
