Annexure D to the Amendment Regulations under the heading "Places and premises closed to the public" provides that such places must remain closed to the general public except in the cases where they are required to provide services to tourists under quarantine due to the fact that they were already in establishments at the time of the lockdown and are to remain in the establishment for the duration of the lockdown. These include—

(a) hotels, lodges and guest houses, which are required for the remaining tourists who are confined to hotels, lodges and guest houses;
(b) private and public game reserves which are required for the remaining tourists confined to such private and public game reserves;
(c) holiday resorts which are required for the remaining tourists who confined to such holiday resort.

 

2.1 All establishments falling under the above categories must adhere to the following:
2.1 1 Employers must ensure that all employees at such establishments are trained on the COVID -19 health protocols;
2.1.2. Employers must ensure that the employees have personal protective equipment (PPE) and that all workplace health and safety legal requirements are observed;
2.1.3. Employers must provide all employees rendering essential services with accommodation onsite to enable them to remain in the establishments for the entire duration of the lockdown period;
2.1.4 All the establishments rendering services related to the lockdown, other than quarantine or isolation, must, in writing, obtain approval from the Department of Tourism;
2.1.5 All establishments rendering services in relation to quarantine or isolation are to be confirmed as such by the Health Authorities under the Department of Health working with the Department of Public Works and Infrastructure;
2.1.6 An accommodation establishment confirmed or designated as a quarantine or isolation facility, is not permitted to render essential services to any other person besides the people quarantined, isolated or essential service employees therein.
