9. Placement

9.1Placement involves the orientation and initial training of a new employee.

 

9.2Orientation and initial training should be accessible, responsive to and able to reasonably accommodate the needs of employees who have disabilities.

 

9.3Subject to reasonable accommodation, new employees with disabilities and other employees who do not have disabilities must be treated equally.

 

9.4An employer must make an effort to include disability sensitisation in the orientation/induction and other relevant training programmes of their organisations.
