28. Furnishing of Information to Registrar

The Registrar may by notice in writing require —

(a)        a financial exchange or a member thereof;

(b)        a recognised clearing house;

(c)        any person approved in terms of section 5(1); or

(d)        any other person who is carrying on business in contravention of section 4 (1) or (2) or 5 (1),

to transmit or furnish to the Registrar within a period stated in the notice any document or information at the disposal of that financial exchange, member, clearing house or person relating to its or his affairs, and which the Registrar may reasonably require, and that financial exchange, member, clearing house or person shall comply with the relevant requirement of the Registrar to his satisfaction within the relevant period or within such further period as the Registrar may allow.
