(1) | These rules apply to arbitration under sections 19(1) and 33(3) of the Act. |
(2) | If a situation arises which is not provided for in these rules or the Act or the Arbitration Act, the arbitrator must hear the parties' views and then— |
(a) | deal with it in a way which is effective and fair to the parties; or |
(b) | if he or she so decides, ask the judge for a direction. |
