I, Andre Isak van Niekerk, Minister of Agriculture, acting under section 11(3)(c) of the Liquor Products Act, 1989 (Act No. 60 of 1989), hereby declare the provisions of section 11(3)(a)(i) and (v) of the said Act applicable to pot still brandy, brandy and vintage brandy referred to in the regulations made under the said Act, in for far as the said provisions relate to the use of—

 

(a)the name of an estate defined in terms of the Wine of Origin Scheme published by Government Notice No. R. 1434 of 19 June 1990, as amended; and
(b)the words "estate" and "landgoed", or a translation of any of the said words in any language whatsoever, or any word or expession that so resembles any of the said words or a translation thereof that is will deceive or is likely to deceive.
