(1) | An application for an authority shall be made on a form obtainable from the Authority for this purpose. |
(2) | Such application shall be lodged with the Authority at least 30 days prior to the expected date on which the pressing of the grapes concerned will commence. |
(3) | The applicable fee determined by the Authority for this purpose shall be payable in respect of such application. |
(4) | If the Authority approves such application— |
(a) | a production sheet shall be issued to the applicant concerned; |
(b) | such production sheet shall serve as authority for the pressing of the grapes specified thereon; and |
(c) | the participant concerned shall record the particulars required in terms of this Scheme or by the Authority, on that production sheet. |
(5) | If grapes pressed by virtue of an authority issued in terms of the Wine of Origin Scheme with a view to the production of an estate wine as defined in the said Scheme are used for the production of estate brandy, such authority shall be deemed to have been granted in terms of this section. |
