Chapter III : Conduct of Examinations

23. Degree of Precision Required

(1) In the calculation of compass errors or deviations, the candidate is required to work to 0,2 of a degree of arc.

 

(2) In the calculation of the position of the correctors, it shall be sufficient it the candidate's solution is within 5 nm of a precise result.

 

(3)In any other calculation, it shall be sufficient if the candidate's solution is within 0,2 of the basic unit in the precise result.

 

(4)In the oral and practical part of the examination, residual deviations should not be in excess of 3 degrees.
