National Environmental Management: Waste Act, 2008 (Act No. 59 of 2008)

A person that is convicted of an offence under these Regulations is liable to imprisonment for a period not exceeding five years or a fine not exceeding five million rand, and in the case of a second or subsequent conviction, to a fine not exceeding 10 million rand or imprisonment for a period not exceeding 10 years; and in both instances to both a fine and such imprisonment.
