(1) | If a matter has been investigated by the Regulator, and the Regulator and the respondent agree to the proposed terms of an appropriate order, the Council, without hearing any evidence, may confirm the agreement as a consent order, in accordance with section 48(1)(b), and lodge it with the High Court, for enforcement purposes. |
(2) | Without limiting the generality of subsection (1), a consent order may include a directed price control reduction contemplated in section 21. |
(3) | With the consent of a complainant, a consent order confirmed in terms of subsection (1) may include an award of damages to that complainant. |
