22. Requirements for vodka [7(1)(b); 27(1)(a)]

Vodka shall—

 

(a)be produced by the distillation of any fermented, undiluted, harmless vegetable article or any fermented, with water diluted, harmless vegetable article, including any of the products mentioned in regulation 18(a), in a rectifying of fractionating column;

(b)unless flavoured, not have any distinctive characteristic, aroma, taste or colour; and

(c)have an alcohol content of at least 43 per cent.
