The Agricultural Product Standards Act, 1990 (Act No. 119 of 1990), has been updated with Grading, Packing and Marking of Canned and Pickled Vegetables intended for sale in the Republic of South Africa: Commencement date 2 December 2023, as per Notice No. R.2826 of GG47634, dated 2 December 2022.

 

The Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Professions Act, 1982 (Act No. 19 of 1982), has been updated with Amendments to Table 4 of Regulations under Notice R.2085 of 1982: Regulations relating to Veterinary and Para-Veterinary Professions, as per Notice No. 1494 of GG47665 dated 9 December 2022.

 

The South African Schools Act, 1996 (Act No. 84 of 1996), has been updated with Amendments to National Norms and Standards for School Funding (NNSF) under Notice No. 869 of 31 August 2006: Effective 1 January 2023, as per Notice No. 2874 of GG47755, dated 15 December 2022.

 

The South African Maritime Safety Authority Levies Act, 1998 (Act No 6 of 1998), has been updated with a Determination of Levies (2022), as per Notice No. 2873 of GG47755, dated 15 December 2022.

 

The Public Holidays Act, 1994 (Act No. 36 of 1994), has been updated by a Declaration of Twenty-Seventh Day of December 2022 as a Public Holiday throughout the Republic, as per Proclamation No. 108, GG47753 dated 15 December 2022.

 

The Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), has been updated with the Rate of Interest on Government Loans – 1 January 2023, as per Notice No. 1531, GG47797, dated 30 December 2022.

 

The Natural Scientific Professions Act, 2003 (Act No. 27 of 2003), has been updated with the Fee Structure for 2023/2024, as per Board Notice 380 of GG47789 of 23 December 2022.

 

The Mine Health and Safety Act, 1996 (Act No. 29 of 1996) has been updated with the Substitution of Forms: Chapter 21.9(a), (b), (c), (d), (e) and (f) of the Regs under R.93 of 1997, as per Notice No. 2909 of GG47791 dated 21 December 2022.

 

The Marine Living Resources Act, 1998 (Act No. 18 of 1998), has been updated with Amendments to Regulations under Notice No. R. 1111 of 1998 in terms of the Act, as per Notice No. R.2911 of GG47796, dated 23 December 2022.

 

The Local Government: Municipal Electoral Act, 2000 (Act No. 27 of 2000), has been updated with the Official List of Voting Stations : Municipal By-Elections – 8 February 2023, as per Notice No. 1521 of GG47750 dated 15 December 2022.

 

The Electricity Regulation Act, 2006 (Act No. 4 of 2006), has been updated with Amendments to Schedule 2 of the Main Act, as per Notice No. 2875 of GG47757, dated 15 December 2022.

 

The Electronic Communications Act, 2005 (No. 36 of 2005), has been updated with Rules for Services Operating in the Frequency Band: 3300 – 3400 MHz, as per Notice No. 2891 of GG47788, dated 20 December 2022.

 

The Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act, 1992 (Act No. 40 of 1992) has been updated with Amendments to Schedules 1 & 2 of the Main Act as per the Drugs & Drug Trafficking Amendment Act, 2022 (Act No. 14 of 2022), Notice No. 1520 of GG47736, dated 14 December 2022.

 

The Dental Technicians Act, 1979 (Act No. 19 of 1979) has been updated with Acts or Omissions of Dental Technicians and Technologists in respect of which the Council may take Disciplinary Action, as per Notice No. 2898 of GG47789 dated 23 December 2022.

 

The Banks Act, 1990 (Act No. 94 of 1990), has been updated with Amendments to Regulations under Notice R.1029 of 12 December 2012: Regulations Relating to Banks, as per Notice No. 2900 of GG47789, dated 23 December 2022.

 

The Agricultural Pests Act, 1983 (Act No. 36 of 1983), has been updated by the addition of Importation of Controlled Goods without a Permit regulations as well as amendments to Tables 1 and 3 under Notice R.1013 of 23 May 1989, as per Notice No. R. 2855 of GG47725 dated 15 December 2022.

 

The Special Investigating Units and Special Tribunals Act 1996 (Act No. 74 of 1996), has been updated with Referral of Matters: Department of Water and Sanitation, as per Proclamation No. R.96 of GG47634 dated 2 December 2022.

 

The Protection of Constitutional Democracy against Terrorist and Related Activities Act, 2004 (Act No. 33 of 2004), has been updated by the Notification by President in respect of Entities Identified by the United Nations Security Council: Section 25 of the Act, as per Proclamation No. 98 of GG47728, dated 12 December 2022.

 

The Pharmacy Act, 1974 (Act No. 53 of 1974), has been updated with Regulations relating to Fees Payable to the South African Pharmacy Council, 2022, as per Notice No. R.2827 of GG47634 dated 2 December 2022.

 

The Public Finance Management Act, 1999 (Act No. 1 of 1999), has been updated with the Statement of National Revenue, Expenditure and Borrowings as at 31 October 2022, as per Notice No. 1357, GG47628, dated 30 November 2022.

 

The Petroleum Products Act, 1977 (Act No. 120 of 1977), has been updated with Regulations regarding Maximum Retail Price for Liquefied Petroleum Gas, as per Notice No. R.2839 of GG47661 dated 6 December 2022.

 

The Pension Funds Act, 1956 (Act No. 24 of 1956), has been updated with Amendments to Regulation 28 of Notice R. 98 of 1962 – Effective 3 January 2023, per Notice No. 2230 of GG46649 dated 1 July 2022.

 

The National Prosecuting Authority Act, 1998 (Act No. 32 of 1998) has been updated with Regulations relating to Summons and Oath, as per Notice No. 2850 of GG47669, dated 9 December 2022.

 

The National Heritage Resources Act, 1999 (Act No. 25 of 1999), has been updated with the Revised Schedule of Fees for Applications made to the South African Heritage Resources Agency (SAHRA) from 1 January 2023, as per Notice No. 2844 of GG47665, dated 9 December 2022

 

The Medicines and Related Substances Control Act, 1965 (Act No. 101 of 1965), has been updated with Amendments to Regulation No. 859, GG41964 of 25 August 2017, as per Notice No. 2853 of GG47673 dated 8 December 2022.

 

The Local Government: Municipal Electoral Act, 2000 (Act No. 27 of 2000), has been updated with the Official List of Voting Stations : Municipal By-Elections – 18 January 2023, as per Notice No. 1508 of GG47665 dated 9 December 2022.

 

The International Trade Administration Act, 2002 (Act No. 71 of 2002), has been updated with Import Control Guidelines on the Importation of certain Metal Processing Machinery and Mechanical Appliances, including Furnaces, Granulators, Guillotines and Shredders, as per Notice No. R.2806 of GG47631 dated 1 December 2022.

 

The Financial Advisory and Intermediary Services Act, 2002 (Act No. 37 of 2002), has been updated with the Amendment of the Qualifications, Experience and Criteria for the Approval as a Compliance Officer, 2022 - Effective 2 December 2022, as per Notice No. 2815 of GG47632 dated 2 December 2022.

 

The Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (Act No. 51 of 1977), has been updated with a Declaration of Peace Officers in terms of Section 334 of the Criminal Procedure Act, 1977 (Act No. 51 of 1977): Investigators for the Investigating Directorate, as per Notice No. R.2849 of GG47669 dated 9 December 2022.

 

The Competition Act, 1998 (Act No. 89 of 1998), has been updated with a Notice in terms of Section 10(7) of the Competition Act No. 89 of 1998 (As Amended): The Competition Commission of South Africa - Notice of Amendments to the Conditions of Exemption, as per Notice No. 2845 of GG47665 dated 9 December 2022.

The National Energy Act, 2008(Act No. 34 of 2008), has been updated with Amendments to Regulations Mandatory Display and Submission of Energy Performance Certificates for Buildings under N700, GG43972 of 8 December 2020, as per Notice No. 1461 of GG47569, dated 25 November 2022.

The Natural Scientific Professions Act, 2003 (Act No. 27 of 2003), has been updated with Recommended Consultation Fees, as per Board Notice 365 of GG47526 of 18 November 2022.

 

The National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), has been updated with the Extension of the Suspension of the Implementation of the Regulations to Domesticate the Requirements of the Rotterdam Convention on the Prior Informed Consent Procedure for certain Hazardous Chemicals and Pesticides in International Trade, by a further 120 days, as per Notice No. 2757 of GG47535, dated 18 November 2022.

 

The Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995), has been updated with a notice to extend and amend the Agreement published under N1318 of 1998 for the National Bargaining Council of the Leather Industry of SA – Tanning Section Collective Agreement, as per Notice No. R.2740 of GG47519, dated 18 November 2022.

 

The Government Employees Pension Law, 1996 (Proclamation 21 of 1996), has been updated by the Amendment to Rules of Government Employees Pension Fund under Proc 21 of 1996, as per Notice No. 1434 of GG47534, dated 18 November 2022.

The Commission on Gender Equality Act, 1996 (Act No. 39 of 1996), has been updated by the Repeal of Proclamation No. 24 of 15 July 2021 and new Determination of Salaries and Allowances of Commissioners of the Commission for Gender Equality, as per Notice No. 2759 of GG47537, dated 18 November 2022.

 

The Occupational Health and Safety Act, 1993 (Act No. 85 of 1993), has been updated with Amendments to Notice No. R.1887 of 16 March 2022: Regulations for Hazardous Biological Agents 2022, as per Notice No. R.2693 of GG47413 dated 31 October 2022.

 

The National Environmental Management Act, 1998 (Act No. 107 of 1998), has been updated with the protocol for the Specialist Assessment and Minimum Report content requirements for Environmental Impacts on Cape Vultures by Onshore Wind Energy Generation Facilities, as per Notice No. 2718 of GG47448, dated 4 November 2022.

 

The Marketing of Agricultural Products Act, 1996 (Act No. 47 of 1996), has been updated with the Establishment of Statutory measure: Records and Returns relating to Macadamias domestic production, processing, imports, exports of Macadamia Nuts as well as Trees, as per Notice No. R.2726 of GG47483, dated 11 November 2022.

The Labour Relations Act, 1995 (Act No. 66 of 1995), has been updated with Amendments and Extension to non-parties of the Agency Shop Amending Collective Agreement under Notice 909 of 24 November 2017 for the National Bargaining Council of the Leather Industry of SA, as per Notice No. R.2702 of GG47443, dated 4 November 2022.

The Local Government: Municipal Systems Act, 2000 (Act No. 32 of 2000), has been updated with Amendments to the Act by Proclamation and commencement effective 1 November 2022, as per Notice No. 1233 of GG46740, dated 17 August 2022 and Proclamation 92 of GG47370, dated 26 October 2022 respectively.

The Films and Publication Act, 1996 (Act No. 65 of 1996), has been updated with a Notice in terms of Section 24C and Section 27A of the Films and Publications Act, 1996 (Act No. 65 of 1996), as amended, as per Notice No. 2682 of GG47373, dated 28 October 2022.

 

The Criminal Law (Sexual Offences and Related Matters) Amendment Act, 2007 (Act No. 32 of 2007), has been updated with the Designation of Courts for the Regional Divisions at which Sexual Offences Courts must be established, as per Notice No. R.2690 of GG47410 dated 31 October 2022.

 

The Consumer Protection Act, 2008 (Act No. 68 of 2008) has been updated with Guidelines to be followed by the National Consumer Commission in assessing Applications for Accreditation of Consumer Protection Groups in terms of Section 78 of the Act (The CPA), as per Notice No. 1366, GG47373, dated 28 October 2022.
